Retirement for Mission
Journey into Deeper Love

August 29-September 28, 2016

This program is designed for women religious who are retired or are contemplating retirement in the near future.
It is intended to assist sisters in making the difficult transition from a fully active ministry to retirement, with a special focus on recognizing and living their retirement years as a fruitful period of life with real possibilities for personal growth as well as new opportunities for engagement in ministry.

We hope to facilitate the movement from a deep realization and gratitude for all that they have lived and experienced, to embarking on the next stage of life which involves a call to journey more deeply into the heart of God while opening themselves to new, unanticipated, but real opportunities for ministry.

Cost: $3,200. Deposit: $200.00 non-refundable.

Encountering God in Creation:
God's Primary Revelation

Presenter: Mary Schneiders, OP

Most of us grew up thinking that Scripture, especially the New Testament, was not only the fullest revelation of God's self to us, but also the only revelation. In recent years we have come to recognize the God's self-revelation began with creation. God is made known to us in every aspect of the universe from the tiniest organism to the vastness of the heavens, if only we have eyes to see. Beginning with Jesus' own profound sensitivity to the revelatory power of nature, this retreat will focus on developing our contemplative vision to recognize God in all of creation. What do you see when you gaze upon a spider, an elephant, a dandelion, a baby, night sky full of stars? Come and SEE!

Cost: $450.00 Deposit $50.00 (non-refundable.)

Guided Retreat

Living in the Present Moment
Presenter: Carol Marozzi, ssj

This retreat will focus on finding the God present in the here and now.  Every moment of life is true miracle. We cannot realize or fully understand this truth with our minds only.  We can only know it when the mind is still, when we are present, fully and intensely, In the Moment. Retreatants will be helped to identify the obstacles that hinder the discovery of the richness of God’s life within them.  To regain awareness of being and to abide in God’s presence within, it is truly God’s desire for each of us.
